We zijn weer terug gegaan naar Bali om de geopereerde kinderen van de afgelopen jaren te controleren en ook weer een aantal nieuwe patienten te zien.
het is altijd weer mooi om te zien hoe veel trouwe kinderen weer met hun ouders langs komen, daarnaast is het natuurlijk altijd fijn om te zien dat bij het merendeel van de kinderen de operatie echt een verschil heeft gemaakt en dat het resultaat ook na jaren nog steeds goed is.
Hier volgt een video van de kinderen voor en na de operatie, de namen staan er bij; op de pagina “de kinderen” staan per naam de kinderen met foto’s en video’s het wachtwoord is voor alle pagina’s en video’s hetzelfde: YSRB (4 hoofdletters)

De kinderen zijn ook steeds minder bang van ons….
ook voor de kinderen en de ouders is het vaak leuk om elkaar weer te zien, ze hebben immers 3 maanden samen op de stichting “gewoond”
naast alle bekende kinderen hebben we ook weer een aantal nieuwe “diagnostische uitdagingen” gezien:
het was ook erg mooi om het 10-jarig bestaan van de stichting mee te mogen vieren!
Ayu en Tiny hielden de inleidende woorden
toespraken van Made Serentin, de manager van de stichting, 1 van de ouders en Ayu met een ontroerend verhaal namens de kinderen.
na wat moeite werden ook de kaarsjes op de taart aangestoken en had Komo de eer om de taart aan te snijden, uiteraard werden er veel liedjes gezongen tijdens dit mooie moment!
Yudi (1 van de spastische kinderen) was de ster van de dag, hij was met een aantal vrienden gekomen en speelden samen wajang kulit en Gamelan
ook erg leuk om te zien: kroepoekhappen, wedstrijdzwemmen voor gehandicapte kinderen en Balinese dan voor rolstoelgebruikers.
Ook niet gehandicapte kinderen zijn soms fotogeniek:
Helaas bleef de “kos”deze keer leeg…. we hopen in de toekomst toch weer operaties uit te kunnen voeren, en daarnaast natuurlijk veel scholing zoals u in de post “cursusweek” kunt zien.
